Dr. Ashka Shah was born and raised in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. It’s been over 10 years of experience in the field of child health care for her.
She pursued her M.B.B.S (Gold Medal) from the reputed Government Medical College Surat. She completed her Masters Degree in Pediatrics (Gold Medal) from B.J. Medical College at Civil Hospital Ahmedabad (CHA) which is the largest tertiary care centre for Gujarat. Working at CHA, she has gathered a vast experience in dealing with all kinds of pediatric cases.
She is passionate about breastfeeding and wants all new moms/moms to be to know that it is much more than food. This led her to gain more expertise in the field of lactation. She underwent special training and cleared the prestigious ‘International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners’ exam. Eventually making her one of the few IBCLCs (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) with a pediatric background in Ahmedabad. IBCLC is the highest possible accreditation in the field of lactation.
She lives in Ahmedabad with her husband and their 2-year old daughter. Being a young mom herself, she understands the ups and downs of modern parenting well. You can always count on her for a genuine, practical approach that will suit your family.
